So much done...

Now what? So I finished all of my Christmas presents (and a few other things) Now what do I do? *sigh* I think that I am going to continue making yarn crafts. I found a website (courtesy of curly_knitter) that sells some really pretty yarns for very little money! www.knitpicks.com

My latest obsessions are:
I must buy some dye your own yarn and kool-aid dye it then crochet it into a beautiful belt!
So I think at the very least a few of my friends will be getting gifts of love made from wool I have dyed myself.

Also I saw this really cool (Goodness I sound like Vroom "really cool" ~ though she probably would have said "totally cool") televesion show that has people crafting on (I am currently in love with HGTV) and I saw a guy make a "chip bowl" out of homemade paper! So don't you all be surprised when you get one or two of these. They are so pretty. Fairly practical (minus the fact that you can't wash them) and not TOO TOO hard to make... The ONLY part I personally am nervous about is the drilling a hole in a 4x4 block of wood the guy said the hole needs to be 1 inch wide and one inch deep too!

When I make it I will show you!

I have finished a lot since the last time I posted but I took a picture of the cutest one. (I promise I will photograph the others later!)

This one is for baby Joey... Do you love it?!?

Left to mend

I took the night off from crafting and decided to mend some things...
Namely my relationship with my sister. I was angry with her and hadn't told her so she had no clue. We talked it out. All is well... Back to crafting.

It's Tuesday already?

This weekend I finished a pretty good amount of stuff.
I think I finished Gin's belt this weekend (but that might have been the end part of last week)
I got another couple rows of Kat's shawl done. I would be done with the belt I started for Kerri if I hadn't run out of black fun fur :-(

I started a hat for Joe
And figured out Donna's Scarf... (It was already done I just wanted to jazz it up)
Joey's sock monkey is coming along. And Jim is ready to kill me... Everywhere you look for as far as the eye can see is yarn or crafts. I am tired

Anything that is not done in time? Well it just won't be! And everybody can have the gifts that I bought for them before I learned I like yarn!

So much time so little done.

I went home with the very best of intentions. Then the phone rang! It was Cheryl she wanted me to run a quick shoe mission with her... O.K.
Yeah so we got home at 10:00
I figured I better fit a few small things in. Jim had talked to Joey and found out that Nicholas likes to be called Nick now-a-days, YAY I could fit that on the star. Then I finished Ginette-y's hat. WOOHOO. Finally I decided I would finish an ornament or two for the elderly. Well I found the most beautiful kits to make these adorable snowmen and snowflakes. They looked like they would be pretty quick to put together! I was wrong!!! They are tedious and I now have a big old cut on my finger :-(
Ahhh screw that I went to bed.
This morning I got up and started a belt (quick safe and able to be done whilst thinking of other things ~ namely my lucky husband isn't working today)

Ohhhh and Cheryl got 2 pairs of shoes

Holy cow one night is a lot

So last night I finished SO many crafts.
I started and finished Jim's ornament (he was working late)
I finished my mom's ornament.
I finished my dad's ornament.
I have Ginette's hat finished I just have to tie it off.
I got one more row on the shawl for Kat done (the BANE of my existence I tell you)
And ALL 12 (formerly necklaces) ornaments! Angels... They are beautiful!

Many pictures to come...

So what did I do?

Well last night I got A LOT done.
I ripped out ALL of Ginette's hat. Why you ask? Because I made for a head the size of King Kong. I then re-started it and got the cuff done plus another inch and a half.
I finished Joey's Ornament ~ Well I still have to write the names on it... BUT first I need to find out if Nicholas likes to be called Nicholas or Nick (PLEASE cross your fingers that he wants Nick)
Picture to be posted as soon as I ask Joey and get it done (tonight??)
I painted all the black on my God mother's Santa (there is a ton of black on Santa)
I also painted the ornaments on my dad's tree (wood ornament)
I painted the entire snowman for my mom... All I have is the outline to do.
AND I got 4 ornaments for the elderly started and they won't take too much more time to do. All this was while I was trying to clean a little bit. AND Jim invited the insurance guy over to see if we have enough life insurance (we don't), then Alicia showed up and wanted me to make cake (I did) ohhh yeah can we add in here that I also did a demo to see if my father was going to be able to make the lighted bottles that he was dying to make for everyone for Chrristmas ~ ~ ~ He can...
Yeah and then I had to get into a fight with Western Union and decide that I hate them... 18 days til Christmas. All is calm.

Why not a blog

Everyone has a blog.
And everyone's is bound to be more interesting than this...
BUT I figured it was great way to keep track of all the projects I have going on.
Right now in my craft pile of things I am doing:
2 sock monkeys (I want one done by Christmas the other in April)
A shawl for Kat because she challenged me and now I MUST finish it by Christmas "I'd learn for you" ~ OH by the way if you care I did already have her gift bought and wrapped
A wooden bead necklace for Ashley because she fell inlove with it at H&M and I think it would be cooler if I made it for her. (for Christmas)
a scarf for Jim (for whenever)
a couple belts that I cam up with the idea for (totally whenever I just htink they will be fun and fast YAY)
Ornaments for the nursing home (have to be done for Christmas morning ~ 6 down about 54 more to go)
Ginette-y's hat and belt ~ these are just extras for her present. If I finish them great if not it's okay
Necklaces (also for the nursing home ~ these are quick and cute (I will post pics later)
Painted ornaments for my friend Joey, Kurt, and Nicholas and then for my mom, dad, Jim and a BIG one for my god mother!
I also would LOVE if I could finish the dolls that I have in my craft bin. They are from the 80's and my grandmother bought them and started one. I am adament that I need to finish them as a partial gift from her!

Okay so I am overwhelmed.
I let you know tomorrow what I got done tonight!
