Blue pancakes

Ever since I found all natural food coloring at Whole Foods a couple weeks ago things have been "colorful" at my house. Case in point a friend stopped over the other day and I had made bread dough to make fried dough - well par for the course I threw some red in there for cuteness sake - well not even thinking about it I brought out the fried dough and got a "what is that?" fried dough I reply she asks "what kind of dough" homemade I say "What kind" I was like peasant bread (a bread machine recipe I make a lot) and she was like "Okay explain the color" Jim and I are so used to me coloring stuff we didn't even notice and we laughed!

Well fast forward to this morning and I asked him if he wanted some blue pancakes (idea courtesy of CCK) and he was all excited and said yes - imagine his disappointment when he came downstairs and realized I said BLUE and not blueBERRY pancakes - so no rolling for him but he still liked them

Haha I could see myself having a lot of fun with food coloring. Though I would also want my blue pancakes to have some blueberries in them!
